Cliff Cummings is President of Sunburst Design, Inc., a company that specializes in world class Verilog, SystemVerilog and synthesis training. Mr. Cummings is an independent consultant and trainer with 27 years of ASIC, FPGA and system design experience and 17 years of Verilog, SystemVerilog, synthesis and methodology training experience. Mr. Cummings has completed many ASIC designs, FPGA designs and system simulation projects, and is capable of answering the very technical questions asked by experienced design engineers.

Mr. Cummings has taught expert Verilog, SystemVerilog and synthesis topics to thousands of engineers world-wide since 1992 and has presented more than 40 papers on topics related to Verilog, SystemVerliog, synthesis and verification. 16 of Mr. Cummings' works have been voted "Best Paper" at various conferences, including the highly acclaimed "full_case parallel_case", the Evil Twins of Verilog Synthesis (1999 Boston SNUG - Best Paper) and Nonblocking Assignments in Verilog Synthesis, Coding Styles That Kill! Mr. Cummings has been a presenter, panelist, moderator and featured speaker at conferences and seminars world-wide, including the 2001 Model Technology "I want to be like Cliff" Advanced Verilog seminars, the 2003-2004 world-wide "SystemVerilog NOW!" Seminars and the 2005 European ModelSim "SystemVerilog Verification Shindigs."

Mr. Cummings, a member of the IEEE 1364 Verilog Standards Group since 1994, is the only Verilog and SystemVerilog trainer to help develop every IEEE and Accellera Verilog & SystemVerilog Standard. Mr. Cummings is also actively participating in the next IEEE Verilog & SystemVerilog Standards.

Mr. Cummings was previously employed by Tektronix where he designed high-speed ECL and CMOS ASICs. Mr. Cummings received several awards in recognition of his exceptional performance while at Tektronix. Mr. Cummings was previously employed by FPS Computing where his responsibilities included ASIC and system design and was also employed by IBM doing hardware verification.

Mr. Cummings, who holds a BSEE from Brigham Young University and an MSEE from Oregon State University, is a member of the IEEE, and the Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Delta Pi Honor Societies.
